nice view
I wonder if there was a situation, the toilet is closed and can't be used.
It is recommended that you do this in advance before crossing the long mountain pass.
Be careful because it is measured with high probability on the clear water side.
Unfortunately it was stormy weather and it was in the clouds.
Toilets were closed as of August 2023.
In the direction of Hidaka, as far as I was driving in the rain, I didn't see a toilet until "Michi-no-Eki Jukai Road Hidaka" in Hidaka-cho.
For Obihiro, there is a restroom at a restaurant a little down from Obihiro, or at the Ishiyama chain drop-off point at the bottom of the pass.
For gas stations in the direction of Hidaka, go to Hokuren (closed on Sundays) and Eneos (open every day) just ahead of Michi-no-Eki Jukai Road Hidaka. Eneos (closed on Sundays), Eneos along National Route 38 (for Furano, open every day), and Hokuren (for Kushiro, open every day).
After leaving Tokachi Plains and looking at it again, it was a bit watery but still very spectacular. The stone tablet of a plateau shepherd tells the story of Can Xuetian looking at the Tokachi Plains of Dairy Farm from Hisho Pass.
If the weather is good, you can see the best view of the Tokachi Plain. If you climb the stairs and see it, it looks particularly striking, but it may be a little scary for those who are afraid of heights.
It is a pleasant observation deck with a panoramic view of the Tokachi plains.
There is a toilet. Large parking lot. free.
It's a comfortable climb from Tokachi to here with two lanes on each side.
The autumn leaves on the Hidaka side of the mountain were spectacular.
I went to see the sunrise at an observation deck that overlooks the Tokachi Plain!
Even in winter, there is a parking lot and you can enjoy plenty of morning sun!
In summer, you can even see a sea of clouds ✨
Boots are a must-have item in winter ✨ If you don't wear boots at the observation deck, snow will get into your shoes in winter!
I visited after the rain and was able to see the Tokachi Plain submerged in a sea of clouds. There is an observation deck at the top of the stairs from the road, and if the weather is nice, you should be able to see the Tokachi Plain spreading out in front of you. It's not that easy to see a sea of clouds, so I think I was lucky that it was after the rain. The last two photos are from when I visited just last week. The weather was clear and sunny on that day, and the Tokachi Plains looked beautiful.
